PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar has presented a cheque of Rs 200,000 to the Anjuman-e-Taraqi Urdu; a non-government literary organization of Kohat at Governor’s House on Friday.

Shahid Zaman received the cheque. He was also accompanied by Syed Sultan Hussain Shah. Responding to certain proposals, the Governor said that steps are already underway to make fully functional the recently constructed municipal library building at Kohat and assured that the complaints of literary circles in this respect will be resolved shortly.

Referring to another point, he further assured that hectic efforts are underway at the national level to ease electricity load management and the residents of Kohat will also get their grievances resolved with the passage of time. While conceding to another point he further stated that indeed upgradation and strengthening of the existing grid station from 132 KV to 220 KV is also the real solution to resolve the low voltage problem and the steps are already underway to do the needful at the earliest.

Meanwhile, Shahid Zaman and Syed Sultan Hussain Shah thanked the Governor for patronizing literary and cultural activities under the aegis of the Anjuman-i-Taraqi Urdu Kohat and sparing time for meeting them. It merits a mention here that the Governor has announced the grant in a meeting with a representative delegation of the organization during his recent visit to Kohat.
