KARACHI  - KMC setup five camps with fire brigade, rescue unit, ambulance services, water tankers at the route of main procession of Youm-e-Ali and a medical camp at Numaish Chowrangi here.Metropolitan Commissioner informed this during a visit to central camp of KMC at Mazar-e-Quaid.The camps were set up at Naumaish Chowrangi, Saddar parking plaza, NGV school Tibbet center, Light house central office KMC, Boulten market and Kakri ground Kharadar, said a statement issued by the KMC on Friday.The main procession of Youm-e-Ali was being monitored by command and control system at civic center.Matant Ali Khan also inspected command and control room setup by Jamshed zone at Nishter Park and also observed monitoring of procession through CC TV.He said that central majlis was held at Nishter Park on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali Ramazan 21 for which arrangements had been made including cleanliness at Nishter park, trimming trees, street lights, fumigation at the route of procession, erasing objectionable wall chalking whereas city wardens were also deployed on their duties for guidance of the participants of procession.On this occasion Senior Director Municipal Services Dr. Shaukat Zaman and other high officials were present.Senior Director Municipal Services Dr. Shaukat Zaman also informed that city wardens at different camps, were deployed and a camp with heavy machinery was also setup near central office of Municipal Services Department at civic center which will be standby to fulfill emergency necessities.This may be noted that Youm-e-Ali was observed on Ramazan 21 of every Islamic year, with respect and sanctity.  Meanwhile, the carrying out of legislation is the task of the elected representatives. This was stated by the spokesman of the Bilawal House, Aijaz Durrani. In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that role of legislation has to be performed by the elected representatives.Aijaz Durrani maintained that ‘conspiracies against the elected representatives should be stopped’. 

He was of the view that in the past the constitution was distorted under what he termed doctrine of necessity. However, Aijaz Durrani went on, the people would no longer tolerate this.
