Zardari Gang disgracing democracy: CM


LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has blamed the Zardari gang for disgracing the name of democracy and politics in the name of reconciliation.
The chief minister said this while talking to parliamentarian who called on him on Friday.
“If the country has to be saved then ridding of the Zardari gang is a must as its incompetence has given nothing to the masses except loadshedding, inflation, poverty, and unemployment”, the chief minister held.
Shahbaz Sharif said the face of this corrupt gang now stood unmasked, and the nation was poised to hold Zardari gang to a ruthless accountability in the next general elections. He said the corruption, nepotism and ‘safarish’ culture had brought the country to the brink of disaster, while politics and democracy had been defamed in the name of reconciliation. He said failure of incompetent and corrupt government could not be termed failure of democratic system itself.
The chief minister said the goal of progress and prosperity of the country could only be achieved by provision of basic educational facilities and health besides waging crusade against corruption, promotion of merit and elimination of economic exploitation.
“The PML-N under the dynamic leadership of Nawaz Sharif, is vigorously striving to bring an end to injustice, corruption, nepotism and eradication of ‘safarish’ culture”, the chief minister vowed.
He said making country free of corruption, ensuring prosperity of Pakistan and bringing the less-fortunate segments of the society into mainstream of progress, were the basic aims of the PML-N politics.
He said Punjab government had introduced long term reforms in education, health, agriculture and social sectors, which had provided relief to the common man.
The chief minister said a subsidy of Rs four billion had been given for providing relief to the common man, during the month of Ramazan. He said an internship programme was also being initiated, under which 50,000 youth would be provided opportunities to work in different departments.
