Lahore - TEVTA Board unanimously approved to provide Rs. 500 million through self-employment scheme to Akhuwat to disburse this amount to 8,000 TEVTA Pass-outs.  TEVTA pass outs will be given interest free loan from 50 thousands to one lac in selected districts during the current financial year and after successful launching of this scheme, it would also be introduced in other cities across the province of the Punjab.  This decision was taken in TEVTA Board meeting under the chairmanship of Irfan Qaiser Shaikh and attended by Board Members Syed Yawar Ali, Ch. Hamid Malhi, Rehmat Ullah Javed, Muhammad Ismail Khurram, Ayub Sabir Izhar, Nilopher Sikandar, Executive Director Akhuwat Dr. Amjad Saqib, Chief Credit Officer Akhuwat Shahzad Akram, Chief Operating Officer TEVTA Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and TEVTA Officers here at TEVTA Secretariat.

Irfan Qaiser Shaikh in his address said that the main focus of TEVTA is to provide financial help to those students who intend to start their own business.  TEVTA is doing efforts to make them respectable member of the society.  Al these measures are being taken in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab to not only impart training to youth but also help them to establish through such entrepreneurship support Schemes. 

Chairperson TEVTA further said that Provision of interest free loan to TEVTA graduates will not only facilitate them to start their own business but eradicate poverty and bring prosperity in the society.  TEVTA is also introducing internal audit system.  TEVTA will issue certificates to its pass outs with the collaboration of City and Guilds.
