rawalpindi - Regional Police Officer Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja convened a meeting of police officers of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Monday to review the arrangements being made to control traffic in Murree on the occasion of Independence Day (August 14).

According to Assistant Sub-Inspector Khalid, a police spokesman, the regional police officer (RPO) directed the officers to coordinate with one another on August 14 to avoid traffic congestion between Islamabad and Murree, as a large number of citizens are expected to visit the hill station to celebrate national Independence Day. CTO Shoaib Khurram Janbaz also briefed the participants about the traffic plan.

Separately, CTO Shoaib Khurram Janbaz held a meeting with the DSPs and inspectors of city traffic police. He briefed them about the traffic plan for August 14. He also directed the officers to monitor the duties of traffic wardens on roads.
