KARACHI - City Nazim Mustafa Kamal has said Haq Parast leadership prevented the citizens from becoming suicide bombers by providing them basic facilities. Instead of raising hollow slogans, we waged the actual jehad against poverty and deprivation during last four years, which bore fruits for common man. He said this while addressing at a luncheon meeting given in his honour by senior journalist majeed Abbsasi here at a local hotel on Thursday. President APNS Qazi Aslam, Vice President APNS Qazi Asad Abid, Dr Karim Rajpar, Director General NARA Tuaha Farooqi, Mehmood Sham, Columnist Agha Masood, Khalil Ahmed Nenitalwala, Abbas Mehkri, Khushnood Ali Khan, Mujahid Barelvi, Habib Khan Ghori, Faisal Aziz, Mudassir Mirza, Dr. Huma Mir, Dr. S.A Siddiqui, Javed Iqbal, Anwar Ahmed Zai and others also attended the moot. Speaking on this occasion, Nazim Karachi said that the peoples in this country were deprived of basic facilities during the last 62 years. People are facing a serious kind of frustration due to social and political problems, adding that they have gone to the last extent of degradation that they prefer to become suicide bomber and play with fire. In order to prevent them from becoming suicide bombers we will have to solve their basic problems without further delay. He warned, If today we fail to provide citizens the basic civic facilities, 10 crore people out of 17 crore will become suicide bomber. He said that there was no hope for the citizens as they were bound to live without health and education facilities, adding that they are fed-up now with hollow slogans and promises made by politicians. They want only materialisation of their dreams, which they have been seeing since the very beginning of their life. During last four years we have worked for the development of Karachi with an aim that after providing them basic civic facilities, some frustration among them would alienated and for this we have worked day and night to solve the problems of the citizens in Karachi added Nazim. Vice President APNS Qazi Asad Abid, Senior journalist Mehmood Sham and Majeed Abbasi also spoke on this occasion and paid tribute to City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal for his outstanding service for the people of the metropolis.
