Federal Railways Minister Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour remarked, If Railways Ministry was taken back, I will quit. This means the ministry is important to him not the performance. Mr Bilour you had once said that there is no Railways in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan which clearly shows your scarce level of knowledge. The Kingdom has its own Railways. The Saudi Railways Organisation (SRO) which provides freight services on two main tracks covering 1,018km distance. These railway tracks connect Riyadh with the Persian Gulf and port of Dammam. The SRO passenger trains operate between Riyadh and Dammam and there are plans to extend the network to the Red Sea port of Jeddah and eventually to the borders of Jordan, Yemen. The Railway Ministers age, health and knowledge doesnt allow him to continue his 'service for this important ministry and he should resign in the larger interest of the department.
