Government safeguarding childrens rights: MPA

OUR Staff Reporter SIALKOT - The dream of national development and prosperity could never be materialise without ensuring the rights of children. Special committee of the Punjab Assembly has been drafting recommendations which will be helpful in early approval of the Children Rights Protection Bill from the provincial assembly. PML-N MPA Naseem Akhtar Khawaja stated this while addressing the participants of a seminar on children rights protection held here under the supervision of Social Welfare Department in active collaboration with the UNICEF here. She said that the children rights were being violated in the country during the past regime and now the PML-N was committed to safeguarding the future of new generation in the country due to which the Punjab government was providing all the basic facilities including better health and educational facilities to the children. Muhammad Altaf, A representative of UNICEF, District Officer Social Welfare Department Muhammad Nawaz Khan, District Child Right Committee Convener Muhammad Arsalan Khan, Miss Sadaf Khan (Child Protection Officer Sialkot) and Muhammad Sharif Ghuman (Deputy District Officer Sialkot) also addressed the seminar.
