KARACHI - Karachi Blues is all set to win its Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Division-I match against Rawalpindi after the visitors collapsed to 87 for five in its second innings on the penultimate day of the four day contest here at the National stadium on Saturday. Facing a huge total of 448 runs deficit, Rawalpindi team which had folded at 107 in the first innings once again crumbled against the home bowlers who bowled well against weak opposition but failed to deliver against tough teams Karachi Blues had scored 299 in the first knock. Karachi Blues which was 45 for one in its second innings overnight declared at 259 for nine shortly before close of play on the third day. Hafiz Asad Baig contributed 71, Ahmed Iqbal 42 and Javed Mansoor unbeaten 35 in Karachi second innings. Baber Naeem of Rawalpindi, however, took the honours of the day when he took five for 65. Nasir Malik of the same outfit had taken five for 70 in home teams first innings.
