JAKARTA Six schools were named the winners of the Regional Intel Teach School Awards in recognition of their work to transform education through the integration of technology, creativity and innovation. The winners, selected from 17 schools across Asia, were announced at a ceremony held in Jakarta, says a press release. The Regional Intel Teach School Awards were given in two categories, mature and emerging markets. The winner of the Gold Award of Excellence in the emerging markets category was Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School, of Vietnam, while a Silver Award of Excellence in the emerging market category was given to Caraga Regional Science High School, of the Philippines. Bronze Awards of Excellence in the emerging market category were awarded to Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang, of Malaysia and Roots School System, of Pakistan.
