BOK opens new branch

LAHORE (PR): The Bank of Khyber (BOK) on Tuesday opened a Raast Islamic Banking Branch at Main Ravi Road Lahore. Managing Director BOK Imran Samad, who was chief guest on the occasion, formally inaugurated the branch. He said that this year is marked as 10th anniversary of establishment of Islamic Banking and we successfully increased our Raast Islamic Banking Branches over the period of decade.

Imran Samad said BOK is committed to fulfil the banking requirements of Islamic Banking as well as conventional in a befitting manner in order to encourage the economic developmental activities in the region through Islamic mode of financing.

The ceremony was also attended by notables of the area & business community apart from Group Head Islamic Banking Kamran Masood Khan, Divisional Heads of Business Developments Lal Nawaz Khan, Naveed Qureshi, Head Shariah Compliance Muhammad Asad, Shariah Advisor of BOK Abdul Samad Khan, Head Marketing Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani while Manager of the Branch Mr Hafiz Mubashar Ali Coordinate the formal inauguration ceremony. He said that the BOK has also been serving Islamic Banking clients by providing them all Banking services through its net-work across the country since 2003. He urged the business community of the area to get full benefits from BOK Raast Islamic Banking system. Imran Samad also mentioned that BOK Raast Islamic Banking is supervised by proper Shariah Compliant Committee as per State Bank of Pakistan’s rules.

In this regard Islamic Banking Group and full time Shariah Compliance Department is ensuring proper compliance of all Shariah rules. This is a prime responsibility of BOK to provide Shariah Compliance schemes which are now getting from the clients. He mentioned that BOK Raast Islamic Banking showed considerable growth in profit of Islamic Branches during last three years.

Samsung’s mSATA SSD

LAHORE (PR): Samsung Electronics launches 840 EVO mSATA (mini-Serial ATA) Solid State Drive (SSD) line-up, including industry’s first 1 terabyte (TB) mSATA SSD this month.

The Samsung 840 EVO mSATA SSD is an extension of the 840 EVO line-up which was introduced in July at Samsung SSD Global Summit. The new SSD features the compact mSATA form factor which is approximately a quarter size of a 2.5-inch SSD, and offers the same level of high density and high performance.

Iftikhar greets new FPCCI president

United Mobile’s winner of Suzuki heavy bike

KARACHI (PR):  United Mobile announced the winner of a Suzuki Heavy Bike ‘Inazuma’. The winner Mr. Zohaibfrom of Karachi was among the thousands of VOICE mobile customers that participated in the launch ceremony of the Voice Series – Xtra and Xtreme.
