D-12 uplift work reviewed

Islamabad - Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Maroof Afzal chaired a high-level meeting at the CDA headquarter on Wednesday to review the progress of installation of traffic and street signboards in sector D-12, construction of precast boundary wall between sector D-12 and D-13 and progress of other development activities in sector D-12. The meeting was attended by the Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed, Member Engineering Shahid Sohail and senior officers of the engineering wing.
The chairman CDA was apprised that carpeting work on approach road of sector D-12 from E-11 had already been completed while work on installation of traffic and street signboards in sector D-12 was in progress.

He was further apprised that installation of traffic and street signboards would cost approximately Rs 5 million. The chairman directed that the project should be completed within next three months. He said that with the increase in number of residents in sector D-12, all relevant formations of the authority should ensure provision of basic amenities to the residents.
The chairman CDA was informed that in order to eradicate encroachments within the sector and from the buffer zone between sector D-12 and D-13, a precast boundary wall will be constructed and in this context, a tender had already been floated in national press. He was further informed that the construction of 6,600 feet long and 6 feet high precast boundary wall would cost approximately Rs 10 million.
