ISLAMABAD - State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Wednesday said that the shooter who had killed Haq Nawaz, a PTI worker in Faisalabad, was planted by a third force.

The shooter was planted by foreign elements who don’t want Pak-China corridor project to go ahead, said Ali while addressing a press conference at his office here on Wednesday.

He said that the government had deployed unarmed policemen at the PTI rally in Faisalabad to avoid any untoward incident, but despite that a PTI worker was killed. However, he said that his government would arrest the shooter at any cost.

He claimed Imran was eager to see dead bodies for political gains and that’s the reason, he initiated countrywide protests and that’s why he intends to go to Lahore.

Ali said that the government was ready for talks with PTI, however, the party should have to abandon the politics of violence and build up an appropriate milieu for negotiations.

He asked the PTI to call off its protests prior to the start of talks with the government.

Are we murderers, or corrupt, why they have been slamming us like we have done something wrong, please tell why PTI is defaming our party leaders, Ali said.

Without naming Sheikh Rasheed, he said that Tehreek-i-Insaf has adopted a person who does not even come out of the ‘Laal Haveli’.

“This very person joined Musharraf, and ruined him with his advises and now he is up for devastating Imran Khan,” he added.

He said he would go to Faisalabad police station tomorrow, where he has been nominated in the murder of the PTI worker.
