KAMALIA-A social activist met with the UK Funeral Director for bringing back to Pakistan the body of Ch Rehmat Ali, one of the earliest advocates of the creation of the state of Pakistan and creator of the name “Pakistan”.

Ch Sarwar Noor said that the UK Funeral Director had assured him of every support in this regard. “The UK Funeral Director has required two NOC letters from the Pakistan High Commission in the name of Cambridge City Council for the grave opening and the Pakistan International Airline for the transfer of carriage of the coffin to Pakistan. Hopefully, I will receive these letters from the Pakistan High Commission in the UK in time so that UK Funeral Director may release the appropriate orders,” he said.

He appealed to the Pakistani people to speed up the preparations for the enthusiastic and befitting welcome to the magnificent funeral in the history of Pakistan. “Welcome banners be displayed in every city and every town of Pakistan so that the government of Pakistan may also be inclined to give Ch Rehmat Ali a full posthumous protocol befitting his status,” he said.
