KASUR-Policemen are always ready to die for the protection of life, honour and property of the common man. So being the law enforcers, they deserve modern healthcare. In this context, a three-day medical camp has been set up at Kasur Police Lines in collaboration with Health Department. Police officials will be able to get free medical examination at the camp, set up under directives from the Punjab inspector general of police.

Addressing the inauguration of the camp, District Police Officer (DPO) Zulfiqar Ahmed said that qualified doctors and paramedical staff will conduct medical examination of the cops. “Healthy and medically fit police officers can perform duty in a better way,” the DPO pointed out.

Farmers protest for acceptance of demands: Farmers protested in front of Pattoki Sugar Mills for acceptance of their demands here the other day.

The protest was staged under the auspices of Pakistan Kissan Ittehad. Farmers demanded the government to force the mills management purchase sugarcane from them so that their financial miseries could be lessened.

Motorists, on the other hand, suffered a great ordeal due to farmers’ protest as it caused severe traffic mess. There were witnessed long queues of vehicles stuck in traffic jam on roads. Moreover, the motorists were denied access to Multan Road due to protest.
