Punjab Minister Fayazul Hasan on Tuesday criticised Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz and said that the son of former chief minister Shehbaz Sharif attempted to flee.
While speaking with the journalists, “The Sharif brothers do not have courage to face justice.” He said that the Sharifs were involved in mega corruption cases and added, “They misused billion of rupees from the national exchequer and are attempting to escape the accountability.”
He said, “Pakistan’s top accountability watchdog has been investigating the irregularities done in the last 10 years and things were gradually surfacing.” He further said that the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was pleading for another National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
“But, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government does not believe in NROs and he will have to go through fair accountability process,” he held. Earlier in the day, FIA offloaded PA member Hamza Shehbaz from a foreign airline’s flight at Lahore airport.
