Wall’s Pakistan joins hands with KMC to set up sustainable public spaces

KARACHI - Wall’s has partnered with the Parks & Horticulture Department, KMC to set up sustainable public spaces at Hill Park to ensure engaging public spots for citizens that are also environmentally friendly.
Wall’s is championing its purpose of spreading joy through sustainable public spaces that allow the people of Pakistan to come together and share happiness in the outdoors. This effort also aligns with Unilever Pakistan’s target to collect, recycle and repurpose more plastic than it produces by 2025. The public space is set up as part of Wall’s continued mission to make outdoor places friendlier for citizens and tourists alike. The brand has been working across the country on campaigns aimed at creating environmental cleanliness awareness, wildlife and nature conservation. The brand has also set up benches and outdoor furniture made from repurposed plastic to give it a second life.
The Public Space that Wall’s has set up at Hill Park includes a play area and benches for the people of Karachi. The furniture has been made from close to 2,000 kilos of recycled plastic, and is one of the various initiatives that Wall’s is leading as part of this initiative.
Junaid Khan, Director General, Parks & Horticulture Department, KMC, said, “Our partnership with Wall’s is another step in our commitment to the wellbeing of the citizens of Karachi. Hill Park has always held a special place in the hearts of the people of Karachi as one of the busiest outdoor public spaces and this collaboration will help us improve the experience it offers. ”
