LAHORE - While urging the civil officers to become an ‘agent of change’, Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khan Khosa on Friday said that it was prime responsibility of the training institutes to teach the officers about the dynamics of governance for better delivery of service to the people. 

Addressing a certificates award ceremony of Executive Programme on “Leadership and Governance” at National School of Public Policy here, the governor said that it was also the duty of such institutes to enhance understanding of the senior executives of the public and private sector in the realm of policy making and its implementation.

He hoped that National School of Public Policy would optimize officer’s effectiveness as leaders to prepare them for their future responsibilities. “We need to sensitize them to manage changes at the policy level and make them more informed, more efficient and therefore more

 useful servants to the public need”, he added. 0

The governor termed the civil officers as the lever that bound together the entire fabric of state machinery.  “From your ranks come the leaders who hold the nation’s destiny in their hands.

You are a diverse and talented class looking forward to productive and doable solutions through intensive debates and discussions”, he further remarked. 

Earlier, the governor distributed certificates among the participants of the Programme.
