3 BISE officials remanded in bogus results case

RAWALPINDI - Special Judge Anti-Corruption Friday granted Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) five-day physical remand of the three officials of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi in the case of compiling bogus results for the annual examination of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I.SJAC Ameer Khan awarded ACE Officials the five day physical remand of Computer Section Incharge Afzal Bhatti, Programmer Muhammad Asif and Data Entry Operator Sarfraz Ahmed.Earlier, ACE Circle Officer (CO) Kazim Naqvi filed a plea in the court of SJAC and demanded seven day physical remand of three accused for their involvement in preparing fake results of HSSC Examination Part-1. But the court granted only five-day physical remand of the three accused and ordered ACE to produce the accused before the court on February 15, 2012 for further proceeding.It is pertinent to mention here that a special judge anti corruption dismissed the pre arrest bails of BISER Controller Examination Amjad Iqbal Bhara and three others in the case of compiling phony results of HSSC Part-1. However, Amjad Iqbal Bhara managed to escape from the court room while three others were handcuffed by ACE officials. Bhara is till on run.Director ACE Muhammad Khan Ranja, when contacted by this scribe for his comments, said that Amjad Iqbal Bhara was still apart while ACE officials have been conducting raids at different localities to arrest him. He vowed that Amjad would be nabbed soon.
