BAHAWALPUR –Bahawalpur National Awami Party (BNAP) leaders including, Malik Qasim Khokhar, Qari Moonas Baloch and Akram Ansari have invited the people to actively take part in the Feb 13 peaceful protest for the restoration of the provincial status of Bahawalpur.
They strongly condemned Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s wrong stand for the Saraiki province and said that the people of Bahawalpur would never compromise on their claim of Bahawalpur province and the peaceful protest on Feb13 would prove their struggle justified. –Reporter
They highly appreciated the struggle and sacrifices of the central leader Senator Muhammad Ali Durrani for the cause of public rights and Bahawalpur province restoration.
MARATHON RACE TO BE HELD ON 26TH: As a way to promote healthy living, a Marathon Race will be held here on Feb 26 at 10-00 am. The race will be divided in three categories and will be open for all.
The winners will be awarded cash prizes of Rs15, 000, Rs10, 000 and Rs5,000 respectively besides other prizes and certificates.
The race will start from the Baghdadul Jadid Railway Station and culminate at the Punjab College, Model Town-A. This was announced by Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed.
Assistant Commissioner Khalid Mehmood has been deputed as convener and Punjab College Principal Baqir Nadeem Hashmi as secretary for the arrangements of the race.
