The district monitoring officer has directed the EDO education to remove superintendents of three centres including at Rajana Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Toba Sultan Foundation Girls High School and Government Girls Elementary School of Chak 302-GB for unsatisfactory performance.

District Monitoring Officer Asif Ali Dogar conducted on Monday a surprising visit to various examination centres for 5th class students in the district. He also asked him to remove all the supervisory staff of Rajana Government Boys Higher Secondary School’s centre. He asked the superintendents and supervisory staff of Rajana Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Toba Waryam Wala Road Government Boys Elementary School, Bakhshi Park Government Boys Elementary School, Housing Colony Boys Elementary School and Government Boys High School in Chak 316-GB to perform better.

THREE HELD: Police registered a case against an alleged member of a gang of drug-peddlers and recovered 60 bags of poppy from his custody. Accused Khurram had stocked the poppy bags in a go-down in Chak 295-GB Barianwala.  Police were raiding to arrest his accomplices.

In a crackdown against kite sellers, Kamalia city police arrested three sellers for preparing and selling kites violating the ban. They included Dildar, Nasir and Yasin. Police took into custody hundreds of their kites.
