A labourer has called upon the Wapda and other higher authorities to pay compensation for the death of his son during work on electricity pylon.

A son of Nawaz, resident of Amrao Kalan, was killed while the other son was deprived of his one leg and one arm due to serious burns owing to negligence of Line Superintendent Mubashar Hussain of Vanike Sub Division.

He said that Wapda had given contract to him for the installation of poles and laying of cables and he deputed his sons Aurangzeb and Ali Raza for this purpose but when they climbed the poles the Line Superintendent switched on the current as a result of which Ali Raza received serious shocks and fell down from the pole and died on-the-spot while Aurangzeb received serious burns and later his right leg and arm were cut off by doctors. He demanded compensation in lieu of the death of his son and loss of arm and leg of his other son mainly due to the negligence of the Line Superintendent of WAPDA.
