Recently, some public universities from Sindh and KPK advertised their vacant posts through the newspaper. It is very astonishing to witness that they asked money for the submission of job applications, starting fee from 300 to 2000 rupees. Varsities have limited seats, and probably they will receive thousands of application and can earn good money.
Most of the universities are taking equal fee for all the posts, whether the job is for a lecturer, technician, librarian, rider or a clerk. In this situation, a skilled person with an inability of paying the fee will suffer.
All institutions do have their admin and HR departments with salaried staff for doing the recruitment work. In this regard, it is quite unfair to ask money for staffing. I urge to the government should take some measures instantly, to eliminate the collection of money from the poor people. Rather, more stress should be given on merit.
