Rapist sentenced to 14 yrs in prison

KAMALIA-A man was sentenced to 14 years in prison and fined Rs50,000 for raping a woman after abduction here the other day.
The rape victim, resident of Chak 731 G/B had filed a case No 306/16 at Kamalia Saddr police station that accused Jafar had allegedly abducted and raped her for weeks. The police arrested the accused; sent his DNA samples to a laboratory for examination and result came positive. In the light of evidence, Additional District and Sessions Judge Ch Muhammad Jameel gave the verdict, sentencing Jafar to 14 years in prison. The judge also imposed a fine of Rs50,000 on him.

Kamalia City police arrested kite sellers Qamar Zaman from Mohallah Mohib Ali Shah, Shoaib from Khalid Colony, Kamalia and Sohail Ahmed from Mohallah Mai Raj Bibi and recovered kites from their possession. The police registered separate cases against them.
On the other hand, a Kamalia Saddr police team raided the shop of Hasnain at Chak 739 G/B. The cops found the LPG cylinders there being refilled illegally. The police team booked the shopkeeper. Likewise, Kamalia traffic police checked the vehicle of Wahid Ali near Chak 712 G/B and recovered two substandard and illegally refilled gas cylinders. A case had been registered at Saddr police station.
