‘Bar, bench should work for speedy justice’



MAILSI - Independent and free judiciary has always tried to stop dictators and opportunist politicians from coming into the power.
This was stated by Justice Qasim Khan, while addressing the annual lunch of Mailsi Bar. He said the dictators and corrupt politicians always tried to make hurdles on the way of justice as the struggle would continue to release the rights of public.
Justice Qasim said, “We must analysis ourselves. It is necessary for independent justice that both bar and bench play their positive role in giving the innocent justice.” Pakistan Bar Council member Mian Abbas Ahmad, High Court Bar President Ch Sagheer Ahmad and Mailsi Bar President Zahid Khan Khichi also addressed on the occasion.
Additional registrar Maher M Naeem Arshad, additional judges Pervaiz Ismail, Muhammad Aslam Koraja, Aslam Pervaiz Joyya, Rao Riasat Ali, Malak Murtaza, Waseem Abbas Jaskani, Ashraf Sindhu, Mian Mazhar Dawood Ahmad Wain, Shokat Khichi, Mumtaz Noor Tangra, Abdul Khaliq Bhandar, Khawar Latif, Masood Khichi, judges, Punjab Bar and Mailsi Bar members were present there. Meanwhile, Justice Qasim also inaugurate 50 new chambers in Mailsi Bar.
