ISLAMABAD - As the Supreme Court announced its decision in the NRO implementation case on Tuesday, bookies also jumped into the field placing huge bets on the six options presented by the apex court for taking action against the government.
As per sources, several bookies say the court will initiate contempt of court proceedings against the chief executive and the secretary law for not implementing the NRO verdict. Some were of the view that the chief executive will be declared ineligible from the membership of the Parliament, while some say the court may form a commission to get the verdict implemented. Some think the court will show patience and allow the people to decide on the issue.
Yet there are some who believe that contempt proceedings against Chairman NAB may be initiated, while some think action may be taken against President for violating the Constitution.
According to the sources, bets of millions of rupees have been placed on the possible outcome of the situation.
