LAHORE - Hataff, having advantage of one and half goal, defeated Habib Bank Limited by seven and half goals to seven in the Sufi Group Pakistan Polo Cup 2012 here at the Lahore Polo Club on Tuesday.
Hashim Kamal Agha of Hataff smashed two goals helping his team to dominate in the first chukker while in the second chukker, HBL fought back and slammed three goals with the help of Raja Temur Nadeem (two goals) and Raja Samiullah (one goal) while for Hattaf, Sameer Habib Oberoi added one goal. The third chukker was totally dominated by HBL as Raja Temur Nadeem hit two goals and Taimur Ali Malik one.
In the last and conclusive chukker, Hattaf bounced back and hammered three goals. Sameer Habib Oberoi smashed two goals and Hashim Kamal Agha added one guiding their team to victory. Taimur Ali Malik added one goal for the losers in the last chukker. HBL
Sufi Group, having one and half goal advantage, beat Pakistan Air Force by 10 and half goals to eight in another match of the day at the same venue.
Shah Qubilai Alam of Sufi Group played superb polo and scored superb six goals and was ably assisted by Saqib Khan Khakwani who added three more goals in the team's total.
Waqas Niazi of Pakistan Air Force, on the other hand, also played brilliantly and converted five goals for his team while Shaukat Ali Malik added two and Sattar Niazi one in their team's total.
