LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced financial assistance for the heirs of the deceased and injured of the blast near Imambargah in Rawalpindi.
Heirs of the deceased will be given financial assistance of Rs0.5 million each, while Rs75,000 to each seriously injured and Rs25,000 to each minor injured person.
Meanwhile, an initial report regarding blast near Imambargah in Rawalpindi has been submitted to the chief minister. Five persons including a police official died in the blast late on Friday.
The chief minister said that the elements behind such attacks will not escape punishment. He ordered immediate arrest of the responsible. He also directed Inspector General Police to evolve a comprehensive policy for eradication of such incidents in future.–Staff Reporter
