Anti-terror training for teachers starts

Rawalpindi - A programme aimed at imparting training to teachers and education officers of all the schools of district Rawalpindi to deal with terrorists in the event of any terror attack on educational institutions has been launched.
Police and bomb disposal squad (BDS) have started imparting training to teachers and education officers of district Rawalpindi on how to protect the children in the event of any terrorist attack on educational institution, identification  of terrorists and bombs besides overpowering  the terrorists.
The training programme has been started in Government Muslim High School Saidpur Road. Police and BDS provided training to teachers on use of metal detectors, monitoring of close circuit cameras and protection of children in case of any terrorist attack. The teachers were also told about defusing the bomb. Training was also briefed about rescue arrangements and fire fighting strategy.
Meanwhile, as many as 89 elementary teachers of all the government schools in district Rawalpindi have been regularised. The services of these teachers who are educators have been regularized by the district government.
A notification in this connection has been issued under No 2053/E11. The issuance of the notification has sent a wave of jubilation among the educators.
