I am glad that we had no horrific news to glue us to our TV screens but the media’s reaction to Imran Khan’s marriage was beyond what the public required. It was displayed on all channels and many well known personalities were also discussing it. I think this was a private matter for both the Khans. In these desperate times, when there is so much going on regarding terrorism and extremism, child molestation, hanging of terrorists, the whole country is under severe threat; the media should have behaved in a more appropriate manner. Making it front line news, alongside terrible background music. was totally uncalled for. Why does the media look into everyone’s personal life, if it does not affect the public? The media needs a strong regulatory authority to tell them where ‘enough is enough!’
