He stressed the need of strengthening primary healthcare system across the province to reduce burden on the teaching hospitals.

He said that the role of family physicians would be critical to materialise the dream of strengthening the healthcare delivery system. He said that the government should ensure sale of drugs by the medical stores on prescription of doctors only to curb the menace of self medication and quackery.

He counseled the government to resolve all problems in a way like it did to defeat dengue. He stressed the need of declaring educational emergency as 23 million children were not going to schools.

Nation united against

terrorism

Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar has said the whole nation stands one on rooting out terrorism from the country.

Terming the Peshawar school tragedy as worst in the history of Pakistan, the governor said that the tragedy brought the entire nation to a single platform with a clear goal to eliminate enemies of the state.

“An office or authority is, in fact, a test for a person that how honestly and diligently he discharges his responsibility.

And only those find their name in the heart of the people who use this power in the interest of people and country,” the governor shared his view during a function held in the honour of former governors of Punjab and their family members on Saturday.
