The role of Ulema was underlined for forging unity among the rank and file of Muslim Ummah to tackle all the prevailing challenges collectively.
This was the crux of speeches made at an Ulema Conference held here under the chair of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl Chitral Ameer Qari Abdul Rehman.
Addressing to the conference district Khateeb Maulana Fazal Maula said that there were strong armies of the all 61 Muslim countries, numbering more than six million but due to disparity and mutual disharmony Muslims were being beaten everywhere like Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq and other parts of the world.
He stressed the need for acting upon teachings of Quran and Sunnah for their success as Quran and Sunnah were the only source that could bring the Muslim together and guide them toward solving their problems. He emphasised that all prayer leader (Imams) must teach Quran with translation and Hadith to aware the Muslims especially the young generation of the philosophy and objectives of the Quranic teachings.
Maulana Habibullah quoted example of Sheikhul Hind that during drowning of a boat in sea in which they were travelling he preferred to save the Quranic translation which had written by him and his colleagues during imprisonment at Malta.
JUI-F Naib Ameer Moulvi Wazir Ahmad shed light on the role of JUI in the country politics. He claimed that his party was doing politics for the protection of mosques and seminaries. He also announced organising Dars-e-Quran on every Sunday from 10AM to 1:00PM at Rehankot Mosque. Wali Muhammad Zeb and Moulvi Muhammad Ilyas said that religious party were protecting Islamic articles in Constitution of 1973. They criticized Saleem Khan for defaming former MPA Haji Ghulam Muhammad who had recently joined the JUI-F.
