MELBOURNE:-  Veteran batsman George Bailey has thrown his hat in the ring for selection for the World T20, saying his vast experience and recent hot form with the bat would be a vital asset for Australia. Bailey stood down from the T20 captaincy 16 months ago to concentrate on Test cricket. Bailey has averaged 60 for the Hobart Hurricanes this summer, and he averaged 54.5 during Australia's Victoria Bitter ODI series win in England. "There's a World Cup looming around the corner, and I'd love to be a part of it," Bailey said.–Agencies
