LODHRAN: Shakir Shuja Abadi is amongst the great poets of Saraiki language after Khawaja Fareed and those are the people who really the valuable assets to society.
Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad Urdu Department President Dr Abdul Aziz stated at the launching ceremony of book “Sahil Pa Safeena Sansoo ka” written by Mudassar Khan.
He said that Shakir Shuja Abadi is a renowned name in Saraiki Poetry who holds true heart and feelings. Such poets always hold higher place in the society as their poetry depicts true aspects of personal and social life,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Mudassar Ali Khan said that Shakir Shuja Abadi is the legend of Saraiki and Urdu poetry, adding that his poetry comes from the bottom of his heart and portrays the reality of society. Islamia University Urdu Department Chairman Dr Mian Mushtaq Ahmad also addressed the ceremony.–Staff Reporter
