Bilawal to visit Islamabad next week

ISLAMABAD - PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will arrive Islamabad this week where he will meet office barriers of Kyber Paktunkhawa (KP), Azad Kashmir and FATA chapters for restructuring the party, The Nation has learnt yesterday.
Bilawal Bhutto is currently in Lahore where he held several meetings with Punjab leadership and attended the public gatherings.
Talking to The Nation, PPP Secretary Information Qamar Zaman Kaira confirmed that Bilawal is most likely to reach Islamabad on 12th or 13th January to meet the leaders and workers of the FATA, KP and AJK and discuss the political situation of the regions.
He appreciated Bilawal’s last visit of parliament and PPP Central Secretariat for mobilizing the workers and support for the party’s MPs.
Sources in PPPP said that Bilawal had sought a report over the party’s poor performance in recent local bodies elections in the federal capital. He asked the party leaders to present the report on LB polls during his next visit. They said he will also meet senior leadership and discuss PPP strategy with regard to the CPEC in the wake of objections of the KP government and Balochistan opposition parties. The PPP chairman will also discuss the political situation of Punjab province and the alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) in next general election. PPPP President Asif Zaradri had also given the task to the party leadership to contact PTI in this regard, the sources added.
The sources said that Bilawal will have a special meeting with the PPP AJK chapter and discus the upcoming election in the region. They said that Bilawal can constitute a committee for issuing the tickets to PPP candidates on merit for the next AJK election.
The sources said that PPP senior leader Faryal Talpur was running the political affairs of AJK Chapter and she used her influence and intervened in the AJK government decisions many times. The AJK leadership had recorded their protest several times in this regard, the sources added.
PPP President FATA Akhwanzada Chattan told The Nation, the PPP FATA chapter meeting has been fixed on January 17 in Islamabad. He said that the chairman would also meet the workers of FATA and to get their feedback over the performance of FATA office bearers.
Bilwal would also discuss options to bring back estrange workers of the party. The strategy to expand the party at grass root levels in FATA would also be discussed, Chattan added.
