KAMALIA-Gang members involved in the cases of robbery and selling women in the name of marriage were denied bail the other day.

Judicial Magistrate Kamalia Tahir Manzoor rejected the bail applications of three men booked in the cases under section 370 and 371 of PPC during the hearing of bail case. City Police had arrested the accused Amin, Haji Manzoor and Shahid along with their eight accomplice women and recovered money two weeks ago during an operation. Five women were to be sold for Rs2 million for marriage.

The complainant Akram had prepared a video of the deal in which the accused had planned the fictitious marriage and received part of the amount. City Police told the court that the women in the gang members were involved in taking off after the so-called marriage after stealing jewellery and valuables from the homes.
