LAHORE - Punjab Minister for Food Malik Nadeem Kamran has said that PASSCO will provide one lakh metric tons wheat in addition to one and half lakh tons of wheat to NWFP to fulfil food requirements of the province. Punjab Food Department will also continue supplying flour, Maida/ Fine according to schedule whereas other relevant issues would be discussed in the meeting of Economic Coordination Council on July 15. He was presiding over a high-level meeting held in connection with food problems being faced by NWFP here on Thursday.  Food Minister NWFP Muhammad Shuja Khan, Federal Additional Secretary Food and Agriculture Shahid Hussian Raja, Secretary Food NWFP Qazi Hifz-ur- Rehman, Director Food NWFP Rasheed Khan and Secretary Food Punjab Iftikhar Ahmad Rao, Addl. Secretary Dr. Shoaib Akbar and Director Food Waseem Mukhtar were also present in the meeting. Malik Nadeem Kamran said that first shipment of wheat would reach the country on July 16 and NWFP's share of wheat would be dispatched. Provincial Minister said that Punjab government is dispatching 5000 tons flour and 2000 tons Maida/fine to NWFP on daily basis and supply of these items would continue till the settlement of all issues.
