Secretary General United Nations has agreed to create an international commission to investigate the killing of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. "The objectives are for the commission to identify the culprits, perpetrators, organizers and financiers of the assassination,'' Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told media. His announcement came moment after his brief meeting with U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Qureshi said Ban agreed to his nation's request, and will appoint "well-respected, eminent people'' to the independent commission. What is being discussed and further consultations are required are on the modalities'' of the commission. Qureshi said he believed Ban had authority without the U.N. Security Council's approval to set up a commission to try to identify the culprits in Benazir's assassination as quickly as possible.
