QUETTA - The ex-provincial President of Minority Wing of PML-N Balochistan chapter Emmanuel Masih has set up a token hunger-strike camp outside Quetta Press Club for the last 10 days to protest against denial of party ticket for NA seat by the leadership.
“I am amongst the most senior party members in the province and have never backed off from sacrifices but party ignored my sacrifices and considered junior members for the tickets in both National Assembly and Provincial Assembly which is injustice,” he told TheNation, adding, that he remained in the party when people joined other parties for incentives during the Musharraf era.
He regretted that he was staging a hunger-strike for the last 10 days but nobody from the leadership had bothered to contact him.
“I will continue my protest by staging similar protest outside National Assembly,” he added.
He also threatened that if his demands were not accepted he would commit self-immolation and the party would be responsible for his action.
