Islamabad- According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 49 percent Pakistanis barely trust their local police .

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women were asked whether they and their neighbors chose to invest their trust in their local police . 27 percent responded in the affirmative, however 49 percent expressed some distrust whilst 24 percent blatantly refused to entrust their local police .
 
The study was released by Gilani Foundation and was carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out amongst a sample of 2679 men in rural and urban areas of all the four provinces of the country, during May. Error margin is estimated to be approximately 2-3 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
