LAHORE  - Lahore DIG (Operations) Haider Ashraf on Friday ordered the transfers and postings of seven Station House Officers (SHOs).
According to a notification, SHO Sanda police station Inspector Hammad Akhtar was transferred and posted as SHO Factory Area while Husnain Haider was closed to the district Police Lines.
SHO Muslim Town Sub-Inspector Nasir Hameed was transferred and posted SHO Sanda police station while Inspector Nasir Ali was posted as SHO Muslim Town. Inspector Javed Iqbal was posted as SHO Sarwar Road police station whereas Inspector Zaheer-uddin Babar was transferred and posted as SHO Defense-B police station. Similarly, Sub-Inspector Shahbaz Ali was posted as SHO Mughalpura police station.
Meanwhile, DIG Haider Ashraf has directed the newly-posted station house officers to ensure merit-based policing and leave no stone unturned to bring the criminals to justice. The DIG also warned the officers that those found involved in malpractice and corruption would be taken to task. He further said that it is the basic responsibility of the police to provide justice to the victims and bring the culprits to justice irrespective of their class, status, and influence.
