Islamabad - The ongoing Eid Mela at Lok Virsa is attracting a number of people including families as special eid related products were presented in cultural pavilions serving the people with a taste of their traditional heritage. From bangle makers to henna experts, the festival included almost every thing that people prefer in their Eid celebrations. The festival focuses on home based women glass bangle makers from Hyderabad, art and craft bazaar, garments and Henna stalls, artisans displays and other attractions.

Fun lovers including youngsters termed the festival as an excellent recreational as well as shopping opportunity saying the overall ambiance of the festival was different from typical market shopping.

Dr Fouzia Saeed, Executive Director Lok Virsa says that women home based bangle makers from Hyderabad have been invited by Lok Virsa in collaboration with Pak Social Welfare Society (PSWS) to demonstrate their skills at the festival between July 12 to 16, 2015.

The Eid Mela is arranged for families as it is an effort to make the environment different from the regular market Eid bazaars where women can comfortably buy bangles, get their hands painted with henna and buy many other things for Eid, she added. The event will continue till Chand Raat.
