LAHORE - After successful dialogue with the government, the flour millers have withdrawn the strike call, announcing that the supply of flour will continue as per routine throughout the country including Ramazan bazaars.

This was announced in a joint press conference by Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin and flour millers. Bilal Yasin thanked the millers on withdrawing the strike call in the public interest. He said that Punjab government is taking vigorous steps for providing relief to the people and ensuring provision of essential items including flour and sugar during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.   

Pakistan Flour Mills Forum Chairman and former chief of PFMA Dr. Bilal Sufi thanked Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for conveying the stance of flour mills to Prime Minister Pakistan and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and playing an important role for making the dialogues with government successful. He said that government has assured the GST will be abolished on wheat husk.
