SIALKOT-Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to call All Parties Conference (APC) over the burning issue of Panama Leaks.

Addressing the party workers at her Dera in Koobay Chak-Bajwat village here the other day, she said that the APC would also help to end the persisting political uncertainty in the country after the disclosure of the Panama Leaks. She pointed out that the nation has become matured and they would never allow anyone to plunder the national wealth.

On the other hand, PPP leader Ch Tahir Sultan announced to join Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after a meeting with the PTI Chairman Imran Khan during his visit to Sialkot here the other day. PTI central leaders Jahangir Tareen, Shafqat Mehmood, Umar Dar, Usman Dar and PTI Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood were also present on the occasion. Ch Tahir Sultan was the leader of PPP and also had been the former advisor to AJK Prime Minister.

TWO KILLED: A man tortured his wife to death over domestic issue in Bheelowal village here the other day. According to police, the deceased woman, identified as Tahira, was pregnant and mother of seven children. She intended to visit her parents against the wish of her husband Shahid at which he got enraged and tortured his wife to death. The Cantt police arrested the accused and sent him behind the bars.

On the other hand, a factory worker found hanged in a local workshop in Zeeshan Colony here the other day.

According to police, the deceased was the resident of Karachi and stayed in the said workshop where he was found hanged. The police shifted the body to DHQ Hospital for autopsy. According to police, it is no yet confirmed that the victim was hanged or allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself.

Further investigations are underway in this regard.
