After Quaid-e-Azam, Abdul Sattar Edhi is the most respected and non—controversial personality of Pakistan worthy of emulation. It is in our national interest to allocate a day to remember him to motivate younger generation for soçial welfare work. Media can play its national role in this respect. However, there is no need for a holiday but social work whosoever can do. 

A suggestion of observing Charity Day on July 08 in memory of Abdul Sattar Edhi deserves serious consideration by the worthy Parliament.
