QUETTA- One alleged miscreant was killed and eight security personnel were injured in firing and bomb blast incidents in separate parts of Balochistan, on Monday while a body of woman was found dumped in Quetta.

Sources said that armed men attacked a vehicle of security personnel in Prom area of Panjgour, a district bordering Iran due to which one security personnel sustained injuries. “Security personnel killed an alleged attacker after resorting to retaliatory firing,” sources said. Police and other local authorities rushed to the site after the incident and cordoned off the area. The dead and injured were shifted to hospital. However, name of the alleged attacker could not be ascertained.

In another incident, seven security personnel sustained injuries in a remote controlled bomb attack, in Kalat, some 160 kilometers southeast of Quetta.

Sources said that a convoy of security forces was passing through Juhan area of Kalat when it was attacked with explosives planted along the road.

Resultantly, seven security personnel identified as Saqlain, Tariq, Muhammad Ramzan, Naseer, Khalid, Aziz and Fahim Hussain received injuries.

Sources said that the explosives were detonated through a remote controlled device and the attackers fled when security personnel fired back in retaliation and started a search in the area.

Meanwhile, police on a tip-off recovered a suspicious sack lying in a desolated area of Killi Ahmed Khanzai near Burma hotel Quetta and shifted it to hospital.

Police said that unidentified persons after beheading a woman threw away her body after packing it in a sack, adding, that identification of deceased is yet to be made.
