LAHORE : People across the country continue to undergo worst ever electricity loadshedding in the scorching heat with power shortfall exceeding 4,000 mega watts on Monday and the duration of loadshedding rising to 18 hours a day in most of the areas. According to statistics, the total power supply was 12,900 mw against the demand of 17,000mw on Monday.  The gap between generation and demand has resulted into a shortfall of 4,100mw due to which loadshedding is being carried out on alternate hours or continuous for two hours depending on the demand and supply, officials said.
