SCBA demands security for judges, lawyers

ISLAMABAD - The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Tuesday demanded of the government to ensure ample security to the judges and legal fraternity in view of the prevailing wave of terrorism.
SCBA President Kamran Murtaza while taking to newspersons outside the Supreme Court said that in the wake of prevailing incidents of terrorism in the country, the government should ensure foolproof security to judges and lawyers. In the past, he said, the judiciary and judges were attacked hence the government while analysing the present wave of terrorism, should ensure practical steps for providing foolproof security to the judges and lawyers.
He said if any judge was attacked, it would be a severe failure of the present government. He said security should also be further tightened at all the lower courts across the country.
