ISLAMABAD- Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) on Tuesday said it has completed construction of two new 132KV grid stations in Rawalpindi and Chakwal and they have started power supply to consumers.
A statement issued here said that Iesco furnished construction of 132KV Adiala Road Grid Station Rawalpindi and Nurpur Sathi in Chakwal Circle, adding two power transformers having capacity of 40 MVA along with four 11 KV feeders had been installed in the new grids. It said load of five feeders of Bakra Mandi grid station will be shifted soon to the newly constructed Adiala Road grid, adding consumers in the area would get significant relief.
The Iesco said the new Adiala Road Grid will facilitate consumers living in Gulshanabad, Adiala Jail, Gorakh Pur, Ali Town, Shapur Syedan, Dhamial and surrounding areas, adding the project had been completed with financial support of World Bank (WB). It said the newly constructed Nurpur Sathi Grid in Chakwal circle will give relief to people of Kalar Kahar, Miani Bochal, Nurpur Sathi and surrounding areas as the capacity of the grid has been enhanced.
