KARACHI   -   Students of IX and X classes of Municipal High School held a protest demonstration in their school on Thursday against unavailability of electricity in their classrooms since the beginning of their classes three days ago. They chanted slogans for failure of the school administration to provide them uninterrupted power supply in this scorching heat. Students included Tufail Ahmed, Ali Raza Abro, Nusrat Dahani and others said that since past three days their classes were running without electricity in this hot weather where mercury had shot up to 51 degrees. They alleged that few of their class fellows had fainted in the classroom due to heat but even then they were forced to attend classes under SOPs which was unjust. When the school headmaster was contacted he shifted the responsibility to Education Works Department and Deputy Commissioner, Larkana. He said he had written a letter to the Education Work Engineer and deputy commissioner to restore the electricity supply to the school but they had done nothing as yet due to which students and their education was suffering very seriously as they could not attend classes regularly and would abscond till power supply was made available.
